I think that I would like to be more like a circle than a square. And there are other reasons beside the obvious thoughts from the 60’s (?) that are associated with the word ‘square’. Squares have sharp edges. Their sides proceed along a straight line until they take that right angle and then begin to travel that straight path again. There’s no bending, just a straight path and then a sharp turn and on and on.
I would much rather be a circle. Circles bend, they just seem more flexible and because of that flexiblilty at every point, they don’t have to make those 90 degree turns. They are constantly turning and bending.
I’m not sure that I would ever have to make this choice, but if pressed, I would rather be a circle.
The circle of life! I think God does things in circles too! Our world, all the planets….ever seen a square planet? Hee hee
Great point Lori – now I really want to be a circle!
Lord, help me to be more flexible!
I’m with you. Circle all the way!
Circles allow easy motion. As I read your post I thought of the old fashioned hoops kids used to roll with a stick. You never know where that circle will stop – if it hits a rock and bounces off in another direction – nor what adventures you may find on the way.
I like that Barb – they take the bumps and hits and keep going. Thanks for the comment.
Nice post!
How about a spiral? That’s circular and it goes places round and round.
Hey … Barb gave me an idea. I remember hoops! How about inventing a motorised hoop? You switch it on and it runs by itself … you can still run after it if you’re so inclined. Personally I like to sit down with a nice drink and watch.
Sorry Andie … your post has set me thinking. Better stop now or else you’ll ban me from ever visiting you again.
God bless.
Oh Victor, you always make me chuckle! Actually the spiral idea is really good – I once heard someone compare our journey to a spiral. We keep facing the same things but at a deeper and deeper level. Thanks for the visit.
Victor’s trying to take the easy way out . Of course, I guess that’s the quickest way of becoming a circle. Sitting down and snacking guarantees roundness. Lol!
Very cute! The round-ness is really something we have to think about with the Holidays coming…….
I tend to favor the lines of a circle, too … interesting thoughts that you have shared.
Thanks Susan (I think it’s Susan, right?) – that means a lot!
