Baby Talk

  1. You make some very good points … as always.

Have you noticed that when people talk to strangers, say some tourist asking for directions for instance, they always shout at them as if all foreigners are deaf! And they speak slowly to make them understand.

Does God shout at us? Yes … sometimes. When we’re too stubborn to listen and we think we know best. Look at the way He “shouted” at Paul on his way to Damascus. Often people get to find God through similar awful circumstances in their lives.

As to understanding Him … you’re right in what you say.

God does not ask us to understand Him. He asks us to trust Him and love Him in return.

    God bless you.

  2. Yes, God does speak to us in so many different ways. Often though in our daily lives, we are so consumed with ourselves that we don’t even here Him speak to us. I am so glad that He is patient and keeps offering me so many opportunities to stop and listen, to be still and know that He is God. Nice post.
